Born in Montevideo and raised in Maldonado in march of 1984, Noelia always loved to draw, but it wasn't untill she moved to New York, in april of 2003, that she discovered her passion for painting. In 2005 she took " life painting 1" and a life drawing class as well, in the Suffolk County Community College in Long Island,NY. Her teacher, artist Rani Carson, was a big inspiration. A year later, Noelia decided to move to the city of queens, where the longing for her own city and culture, took her to paint her first series, called "Murgas". This series was exhibited at Mundo Cafe, in Astoria.

In march of 2008, She was introduced to the uruguayan community of New Jersey, through, a show organized by Eloy Carrizo; lider of the Uruguayan band "2 acordes". In this show Noelia colaborated with the stage decoration, artistic make up, and her Murga exhibition.

After such a good response in the community, Noelia is working on expanding the culture through her paintings, by bringing to New York a little bit of "carnaval" through every picture.
